Quiltcon!!!!!

I am going to Quiltcon!!! I have my reservations at the 

Radisson Hotel & Suites Downtown Austin. I am excited!!! 

Now I only have a year to wait. So sad.

Monkeys!

This quilt was made a little over a year ago. I am 

showing you an older quilt this week because I will be
working and I won't be doing any sewing.

Valentine!

 We have a new baby in the family and she was due 

around Valentine's day so I had to make this Valentine inspired quilt.

She was born on the 16th so now

 I just need to box it up and get it sent.

Welcome to the Jungle!

 This quilt was made for my youngest daughters co-worker,

she had a baby girl and has a jungle theme for her room.

The back of most of the quilts I make are pieced together,

I like the look and think the quilts are so much more versatile.

Frogs and Lizards

This quilt is for a family friend’s new baby.

 The back is an off white fuzzy material, which makes it very warm and cozy.

I have been trying to do my own machine quilting, it is still not perfect 

but it is more even now. I need a lot more practice before I will be happy with the results.

My First Blog!

I have wanted to start this blog for a while now. 

Hopefully it is not to boring and I have a few people 

come to visit sometime.

I am going to start with a quilt I did last year for Habitat for Humanity. 

They built the first house in our county for a young mother and her 

children so I donated a quilt for their new home. It is my own design

 and was machine quilted by Joy Cannon, a very talented quilter

 I met at our local Quilt Guild.
