Shriner's Flower

This is a very simple pattern but I love how it looks with this material.

This is a Shriner's Hospital quilt and will be quilted by our guilds long-arm quilter.

Ready to go!

Lap Robes

It has been a while since I made lap robes for the
nursing home so I wanted to get a few finished.

This lap robe turned out super cute,
I used a piece of gold, some
plaid  and scrap material  for this star quilt.
It went together real easy.

My helper.

This one is just two pieces of fabric with flannel sandwiched
in the middle. I hope some gentleman will love it!

Kyler's

I decide for Kyler I would make a quilt like my Grandma would have made,
he would have been her 28th great grandchild (I think). When she passed away
I took over for her in making baby quilts for all the babies born in our family.
She used to hand cut all the blocks from old clothing.

I used some older material I had and some from my mothers fabric closet.

I also did some chunky hand quilting, I still love an old fashion quilt!

More Totes

Okay this is my last batch of totes for a long while!
I made these for someone to give as gifts and although I had a
great time picking fabrics I would rather make quilts.

The close-up shows the different linings in each one.

The chevron bag is actually an upholstery material. I wasn't sure
how it would hold up so although I wash and dry all the material
for the totes I did this material twice, it held up very well.
I hope the giftees like theirs!

Liam's Charm Squares Quilt Redux

I needed to make a fast baby quilt and found a great pattern by
Elizabeth Hartman , Charm Squares Quilt Redux

I did some simple straight line quilting and it is on the way to baby Liam.

This was a quick easy pattern and I will definitely use it again.

Trip Around the World with Chicopee

Juli Ann from the STLMQG made a quilt very similar to this and
after getting her okay to copy hers this is what mine looks like.
This quilt is a  Scrappy Trip Around the World
using Denyse Schmidt's Chicopee Fabric.

I put in a few rows of left over blocks to make a color splash on the back.

The binding is two sided.

Alice

My daughter's friend is having a baby girl and is decorating her
room with an Alice in Wonderland theme, so that was my inspiration.

We decided to put a satin heart on the back for the" Queen of Hearts".

I love the way the backing fabric is sculpted like vines.

The binding is a bright pink satin.

Declan's Car Seat Cover

I made this car seat cover for Declan using the same material I used for his quilt.
It has a flannel back with batting sandwiched in between so it will be nice and warm.

Declan's

This is the blanket I made for my new grandson.
My daughter wanted one similar to the one below
that I made three years ago for my second grandson.

I used cottons, flannels and ultra cuddle fabric for both of them with a satin binding.

I found this wonderful chevron ultra cuddle fabric for the back.

It is so soft!
