Dr. Seuss

When I first cut the blocks out for this quilt I thought maybe
I had made a mistake with all the busy patterns. But now I think I like it,
I just hope it doesn't make the baby dizzy.

I backed it with the same fuzzy white material I have used on
a few other quilts. It really gives it a nice feel. I did not add
any batting so it is not real thick for the summer weather.

This quilt is for Kat's friend, she is having a baby girl and has
a Dr. Seuss theme in the nursery.

Plus Quilt

We have two new members in our family, my cousin and her
husband just adopted  a 3 year old girl and a 4 year old boy.
I made their quilts in the Plus quilt pattern,

I really like how these turned out.
I did a simple straight line machine quilting.

The back of the quilts.

I sure hope they like them!

Jelly Roll 1600 Quilt

You are suppose to use a fabric jelly roll for this quilt but I had
a lot of blue fabric so I just cut my own strips to use, I cut 40- 2 1/2"
strips then sewed them end to end, you just keep doing that
until your quilt is 48" X 60". It makes a very fast quilt top, I think it
took about 2 1/2 hours to cut and sew the top together.
This is another quilt I will donate.

The back is just strips of some of the fabrics from the front laid the opposite way.
